Chelsea midfielder Ivanovic has urged his club to fight for a top-four finish and has said he will not quit if he fails to keep up the good form he displayed in the final month of the season.
The Serbian international is hoping to return to the Premier League in time for the new campaign and has told his team-mates he will be ready to face Chelsea on Saturday if they win the league.
“We have a good team, but we need to keep winning, win games and keep playing football,” he told the Chelsea Football Club website.
He added: “If we do not do that, it will be a difficult season for us and the future will be very difficult for the club.”
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, but is keen to remain at the club.
Ivanovic was the only player to score against Southampton on Saturday, the same team he has been targeting since he joined from Benfica in 2013.
