Posted July 03, 2018 14:11:30 South Australia has banned a man with a long history of animal cruelty from owning any dogs after his ex-girlfriend was allegedly stalked and harassed by dogs while they were together.
Police say the man had previously been charged with harassing and stalking a woman in 2016.
Police said the woman’s ex-boyfriend then began stalking her and harassing her friends and family in 2017.
They said he eventually broke up with the woman after the woman called police.
In 2018, the woman was allegedly hit with a false report alleging she had assaulted her ex-partner.
A woman who was allegedly assaulted by her ex was allegedly threatened with death.
The man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
He was granted bail and is expected to appear in court on July 8.
Police have launched an investigation into whether the man is responsible for the harassment and stalking of the woman, as well as the false reports.
