A Florida man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing a gun from a store.
The man is accused of stealing a semi-automatic pistol from a gun store in Fort Lauderdale.
The weapon was later sold to a man who was arrested.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said it is aware of the charges.
A firearm is required for hunting and sporting purposes in Florida.
A man can also apply to purchase a concealed firearm from the state of Florida, which is a permit that allows an individual to carry a handgun in the state.
The Department of Public Safety said the suspect had been convicted of theft in the past.
The department did not provide further details on the theft or the weapons.
